*Call to Worship Psalm
33:1–5
Sing for joy in the Lord, O
you righteous ones;
Praise is becoming to the upright.
Give thanks to the Lord with
the lyre;
Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
For the word of the Lord is
upright, and all His work is done in
faithfulness.
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.

Public Confession
Heavenly
Father, please forgive us for unholy thoughts and words. Enable us to guard our
thoughts so that we speak words that truly instruct and encourage. And please
forgive us for lacking faith in Your wisdom and goodness during times of
concern.
Words of Assurance Romans 15:5-7
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of
the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one
accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the
glory of God.

*Declaring Our Faith[†] The Catechism of the Church in Geneva
What is the rule of faith given to us by God?
God has given us His holy law.
What does God’s law contain?
It
consists of two parts; the former of which contains four commandments, the
latter six. Therefore, the whole law consists of ten commandments in all.
What
is the subject of the first four laws?
The
first four laws concern piety toward God.
And
the latter six?
These
laws concern how we are to treat others.
Pastoral Prayer
*Responsive Reading Psalm
46
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in
trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should
change
And though the mountains slip
into the heart of the sea;
Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling
pride.
There is a river whose
streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when
morning dawns.
The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the
earth melted.
The Lord of
hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob
is our stronghold.
Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Who has wrought desolations
in the earth.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow
and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.
“Cease striving and
know that I am God”;
“I will be exalted among the
nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord of
hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our
stronghold.
